Dancing damsel
This was my first attempt at liquid photography.
I did not have any other source of light. So, tried to take this shot on a afternoon sunlight, with camera flash.

This shot was taken in Muttukadu, Chennai.
I wanted to learn on how to overlay texture. This picture served as a very good one for me to make my first attempt :)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
How I apply TEXTURE OVERLAYS in Gimp:
1. Open and adjust your picture in Gimp
2. File/Open the texture (another window appears)
3. Edit/Copy the texture
4. Click your main picture to bring it forward, then Edit/Paste
(The texture is smaller and appears in the center of your main picture, it appears opaque)
5. Toolbox: click on the Scale Tool
6. Click the center of the texture on your main picture. Little drag symbols appear. I drag the texture (pull each side) to cover the main picture completely.
7. A box appears lower left (over the toolbox) called “Scale” Click the Scale tab on the box.
8. Channels, Paths box: Change “normal” Mode with the little triangle to select from the drop down menu: choose “overlay,” Now you see the texture overlay on the original picture.
9. Adjust the slider for Opacity to make the texture lighter/darker
10. File / Save As (name the file)
11. Click Export on the next box that appears, Click Save on the next box
